Overview of the webinar

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is a common buzz phrase to indicate a positive attitude toward acceptance. Yet too many protected classes for inclusion are misunderstood, misapplied, or outright ignored. Despite significant growth in recognition of LGBTQIA issues in the anti-discrimination laws recently, there is still far too little understanding and compliance with issues impacting the gay, transgender and intersex communities.

This program will explore issues relating to LGBTQIA challenges of differing kinds in the workplace, will examine the legal requirements in antidiscrimination compliance, and will provide tools for spreading education, an improved workplace environment for all, and clarifying compliance mandates through legal analysis and caselaw.

  • What is LGBTQIA as a legally protected class under the law?
